The Countdown Begins

In just under 100 days, Phil and I will tie the knot. We'll officially be Mr. and Ms. Big Tuna Kahalelehua.

Though the last few months I have let the financial aspect of this one-day-party get under my skin and stress me out, we are finally getting to the fun part. We have our venue, caterer, tables and linens, the DJ and photographer. All of the big ticket items are taken care of. Now it's time for the spectacular little details... the centerpieces, the music, the cake (or for us, the cupcakes) and the all important vows.

Suddenly I'm not so stressed, but more thrilled and giddy. I'm getting married!

As of late, the planning has turned to the bachelorette party. How's this for a theme... "Liquor and Lace Bachelorette Pub Crawl". We bring the class. Most of the details of this night will be a surprise to me as both of my wonderful MOH's are working on it. I do know that we'll be a large, obnoxious group of feisty ladies bouncing from bar to bar in Downtown Sacramento. I don't suggest anyone wear heels...

I bought two party dresses for all of the pre-wedding parties. I am totally the type to show up to my bachelorette party, bridal shower and rehearsal dinner in one of my typical maxi dresses, but I figured I'd do something a little different and treat myself to a couple of cuter items that make me feel a bit more special.

I can't wait to spend the next couple of months celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime experience with all of my wonderful friends and loved ones. I am blessed to have so many people around me that love me as much as I love them.

Cheers!
